Differentiating Christ College

At Christ College, we offer sound, modern and broad-based education. We take learning seriously both for students and for staff. Christ College brand offers more than just conventional secondary education. Our unique strengths include:

A Cultured College

At Christ College, we integrate Culture and Life Skills as a vital subject across both staff and students’ levels. This holistic approach fills gaps left by traditional curricula, focusing on essential life competencies such as: Character Development, Dignity of Labour, Creativity, and Interpersonal Skills among others.

A Visionary College

We take culture and life skills as a subject, both at the staff and the student levels, to cover those gaps which may be left by conventional curriculum – character, dignity of labour, discipline, creativity, interpersonal behaviour, positive attitude, responsibility, appearance, grace and courtesy, handling prosperity and adversity, family, care of environment, and global perspectives, among others.

A Faith-based College

We take culture and life skills as a subject, both at the staff and the student levels, to cover those gaps which may be left by conventional curriculum – character, dignity of labour, discipline, creativity, interpersonal behaviour, positive attitude, responsibility, appearance, grace and courtesy, handling prosperity and adversity, family, care of environment, and global perspectives, among others.

Our People

As educators at Christ College and Royal Master’s School, we are honored to play a pivotal role in shaping young minds. Our commitment to delivering outstanding, broad-based education enables us to positively impact the lives and future of our student

Forever Fit (from the chairman)

Management

Good education will empower every child to grow up to accomplish his or her mission in life and impact on their generation in a positive way. We are therefore passionate and determined to make a visible difference in a sector that has become extremely challenging for learners, parents, and the Government.

Our rich academic and co-curricular agenda are guided by a set of core values consistent both with our vision as well as our Christian orientation. These values and other differentiating features of our schools are carried out within a systematic programme christened College Culture and Life Skills (CCLS). All these combine to deliver and inculcate in our students what we perceive as critical ingredients to building a complete child for the 21st century. Our inspiring agenda is also carried out within a conducive environment with excellent facilities and a seasoned workforce in a modern setting. It is our modest aim to lay a strong foundation as well as inculcate the love of learning in students, which everyone needs in life to be the best they can be in today’s fast-changing world.
Moreover, our commitment to our students goes beyond college days and exam grades to include their life-time achievement. Therefore, our very young College is already nurturing a vibrant alumni fellowship to provide a forum where we can continue to support them in their post-secondary pursuits and life’s aspirations. We appreciate that we need people who believe in our vision for us to be relevant.

We are therefore truly thankful for the interest you are showing in us. As we cannot accomplish our objectives alone, we do sincerely solicit and welcome your active involvement both in your child’s education as well as in the affairs of the College. This kind of partnership is necessary to facilitate our lofty goal of producing young persons who will be prepared for a lifestyle that will inspire them (their knowledge, skills, talents and attitude) to remain forever green, flourishing and fit for life. This will empower them not only to make a good living but also to make a great difference, live truly fulfilling lives and give account to their Maker at the end.

Welcome to Christ College!

Christ College World

Management

Christ College is an inspiring secondary school, operating from two separate sites for Day and for Boarding facilities, respectively. The Boarding School enjoys a natural setting, appropriately christened The Green Acres, at Aiyetoro Village, off KM 50, Lagos/ Ibadan Expressway after the Redemption Camp, Ogun State, Nigeria. Its pastoral serenity, greenery and natural ambience present a strong appeal. The Day School, Royal Acres, is located at the Central Business District, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. It offers similar quality of educational services for parents who may prefer to have their children/wards attending from home.

Our academic and non-academic work and indeed every aspect of life are driven by a set of core values which we teach and emphasize to both students and staff members. These core values are: Godliness, Responsibility, Discipline, Excellence, Respect, Creativity and Academic Depth. This provides a consistent orientation that will enable every one of us to adhere to our objectives and be true to our Christian ethos. At each location, academic excellence is a priority. Our staff work hard to ensure students excel in the subjects they teach. Moreover, every staff is orientated to combine professional knowledge and competence with versatility and moral uprightness in order to be effective leaders and excellent role models. Continuous staff-development is promoted in all staff regular in-house training, external seminars and workshops. Adequate resources are provided to stimulate both staff and students in their academic pursuits. Our students are exposed to both local and international examinations in order for them to enjoy the benefit of diversified opportunities.

The schools make conscious efforts to inform and involve parents/guardians in the education and progress of their children. Deliberate efforts are also made to ensure that the learning environment is quite safe, friendly and supportive of learning. The Day and Boarding Schools offer similar programmes and unified curriculum. This has proven to be a source of strength which is beneficial to both students and staff. We are also committed to co-curricular activities through initiatives such as Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists (JETS) Club, Literary and Debating Society, Drama and Cultural Troupe, Press Club, Green Life Club, Home Makers Club, Creative Arts and Music Club as well as House Championship competitions and various sporting events designed to develop the natural endowments of our students. These are also complemented with a number of practical initiatives that expose our students and staff to the real world as they engage in activities like crop and vegetable farming, horticulture, poultry, fishery, et cetera.

The social and domestic atmosphere within the Schools is characterized by a strong communal spirit which helps to promote peaceful co-existence and mutual care among the students and staff. At Green Acres (the Boarding School), members of staff reside on campus to ensure effective delivery and supervision of both academic and non-academic programmes. Each school is led by a management team reporting through its head to the central Board of Governors, which exercises supervisory responsibilities over them.In summary, we are set to make that difference which will sufficiently meet the expectations of our parents and mould our students into personalities that can live fulfilling lives and impact the world positively to the glory of God.
